Rebuilding a life after prison is no easy feat. For many ex-offenders, the journey is fraught with stigma, isolation, and seemingly insurmountable barriers. This blog delves into the critical role that mentorship plays in addressing these challenges, breaking the cycle of reoffending, and creating opportunities for change. Discover why mentorship is not just a tool but a necessity in today’s society, and learn how you can make a meaningful difference.

Peckham Festival + Peckham Levels

This Saturday we will be at The Peckham Festival as part The Peckham Levels Event. A couple of our Team will be at Plot 13 where you can learn more about our services, get information on how we work and even get involved, if that is something of interest to you.

We will be accepting applicants for our next LifeChanger Mentor Training in November and also referrals for people who would like to be participants on our LifeChanger Mentoring Programme as it reaches into the borough of Southwark, starting in Peckham.

Climbing to new heights

One of the things I love to do is indoor climbing, so it comes as no surprise that one of our new programmes involves mentoring on a climbing wall.

Last weekend we took a group of 3 mentees and their mentors to our wall of choice, The Reach Climbing Wall in Woolwich, South London, for some initial training to get them started.

We are constantly working on the positives of a person's characteristics to help them build a stronger future and to forget the anxieties of their past.

This is a people focussed organisation; opposed to limiting services due to...

Back from The Highlands

Well I'm back from my walk in the highlands of Scotland and am happy to say that I completed the 154 km with a smile still intact and some not inconsiderable blisters to show for all the fun I had walking up and down the hills, mountains, rocks and streams. So far, our fundraiser for The West Highland Way walk has raised £1,220 and is still accepting donations until Friday 14th July to allow people to support us still.

Next year I am considering other challenges and am inviting suggestions from our supporters and anyone that wants to get involved, maybe...
