Back from The Highlands

Well I'm back from my walk in the highlands of Scotland and am happy to say that I completed the 154 km with a smile still intact and some not inconsiderable blisters to show for all the fun I had walking up and down the hills, mountains, rocks and streams. So far, our fundraiser for The West Highland Way walk has raised £1,220 and is still accepting donations until Friday 14th July to allow people to support us still.

Next year I am considering other challenges and am inviting suggestions from our supporters and anyone that wants to get involved, maybe we'll have a group challenge!

What kept me going when things got difficult or just plain painful, was knowing I had the support of so many people that were sending me messages and commenting on our social media channels and on our fundraising page. It reminded me of what many of our service users tell us makes such a difference to them, having someone there for them, knowing they are not doing it alone.

So, a BIG Thank You to all that got involved and to all those that will still get involved in the next 2 weeks.

Looking forward to the next challenge!

Roger
